Matrimonial Service
To address the needs of Muslims in UK, Darussalam Masjid and Cultural Centre established Darussalam Matrimonial Service, a platform where Muslim singles can find potential spouse. It aims to match single Muslims in a Halal environment and in accordance with the sunnah.
This service is purely the instruction if interested parties and it’s up to them to do the necessary research before any commitments. DMS will not bare any responsibility individuals’ short comings.
The service is open only to individuals aged 18 and above
Aims of this matrimonial service
- To raise awareness by educating both parents and the youth
- To Setup a marriage facilitation program
- To Finance matrimonial workshops
People will register themselves and once their application is received, all male candidates will go through quick interview with admin, and we can than start the process of matching based on common characteristics and criteria. We will then inform both parties and show them both the profile of the other and if both are happy with that, we can give the man the wali’s number to arrange a meeting. We may rear cases facilitate the meeting in the masjid if both parties and the wali choose to do so. We will remind both patties the importance of absolute confidentiality and if thing don’t work out, we will look at other options if they’re serious about marriage.
Wali :
In line with the sharia, it’s a must for a female using our services to inform her Wali (father, grandfather, brother, uncle) in advance. Any brothers being introduced to a sister will have to be introduced to through the consent and supervision of her Wali.
Training before marriage :
Marriage is a very big commitment and its very importance an individual be male, or female will equip and understand what it entails. We will do everything within out scope to train them before they commit into marriage. This may be group lectures and seminars or giving them relevant material to take home and read
Finance :
One of the biggest complains or obstacle mainly from the guys in our research was finance saying too much is expected from the guy with no help which prevent them to commit to marriage at time. We will create awareness and offer consolation on finance.
Follow up program :
With any individuals who’re successful in getting married through our program we will offer a follow up program through mentoring and inviting them to regular duruus at the masjid. We will so use them as role models for the next generation and utilise their specialities in their perspective fields of work etc to further help the community.
